THE STORYTELLER    

(Inscribed on his base, "Long before there were people, all life was in the sky" - Sankofa), says the storyteller as he points his finger to the heavens. He stands on an open book and brings forth the power of the written word into the oral tradition.

He is lavishly robed in pearlized white gold and is adorned with the symbols of his reference points.

As evening falls our thought turn to the blessings of the day. Wrapped in kente cloth, this woman earnestly prays on bent knees on a pillow of golden threads.
