MATERNAL LOVE

Harmonious hues of color give light to the birth of this elegant composition. from out of my own experience and memories of the joy of expecting, I created these two mothers who hold the hope for new life. They are surrounded by the African ancestral symbols of fertility dolls, Chickwara harvest statues, stools of authority and vessels filled with water as they reflect on the child who will imerge.
